Who Will Be the Next NBA MVP 2018-2019?

Speculating James or KD to follow Harden

When we think about who could possibly be the next NBA MVP of 2018-2019, of course, LeBron is one of the first to come to mind.

Just imagine: LeBron playing the lead role in rising his new L.A. team to victory, earning yet a fifth MVP title (fifth time’s the charm… that’s how the saying goes, right)? Needless to say, King James can very well become MVP of 2018 if he brings his team up to where they need to be.

But another contender also comes to mind.

Perhaps some of you remember when Golden State Warrior Kevin Durant was honored the Bill Russell NBA Finals MVP Award, after his team sweeped the Cavs a couple months back – with KD averaging 28.8 points, 7.5 assists, 10.8 rebounds, and 2 blocks over the course. Commendable.

In fact, it was the second consecutive year that KD was honored the title – with LeBron sharing this same achievement back in 2012 and 2013. Looks like history really repeats itself in the NBA, and great players …achieve… alike?

But we do have a reservation about KD becoming MVP 2018-2019. He happens to be in the mix with a slew of valuable players… ahem, Stephen Curry for one. That said, it’s kind of hard to imagine having to pick between the two. Yeah, this may be a bit of an unfair disadvantage – but perhaps it won’t be enough to take Curry out of consideration.

With many other star players contributing value to their teams, fans and the NBA as a whole – who do you think deserves the 2018-2019 NBA MVP title?

Something to ponder.
